Memories of Harry Kennen's Shop

The recent floods reminded me of a time in 1929, there was a bad storm and the grocers shop in Thurcroft, built by Harry Kennen was flooded and the pigs he kept were all swimming about.
It was such a funny sight, I couldn't stop laughing as I remembered the incident !
The pigs were unharmed.

told by Vera Capp August 2007
