The Milk Lady
Just been talking on phone to my dad, he was looking at the memories on your website and told me he can remember Violet Bell who married Jim Lovely. She used to go to Sawn Moor Farm at Thurcroft, then owned by the Beeches. She would load up with two buckets of milk, then she'd carry them on a yolk round her neck to the shop fronts, where she'd sell it, my dad can remember this well, he used to watch her selling it!
