In 1822 Thurcroft was in the Parish of Laughton-en-le-MorthenThe part of the highway which separated Laughton from Brampton at Thurcroft, and Bramley from Hellaby was known as Street Lane.
In 1822 Thurcroft was in the Parish of
Laughton-en-le-Morthen. The census of 1851 shows there were only 6 dwellings in Thurcroft, one being
including Green Arbour (now known locally as Shepards Farm), on the 1855 map shown as
Green Harbour.
