Wood of Sawn Moor Cottage

In 1881 Joseph Wood, an Agricultural Labourer, aged 28 from Bradfield, Sheffield, was living at Sawn Moor Cottage with his wife and daughter.

His wife Ann aged 27 was born at Brookhouse.

They had one daughter Edith who was born at New Orchard, Thurcroft.

Also living with the family was Hugh H. Wheatcroft (Nurse Child) aged four months born at Sawn Moor.

It is recorded that Ann Wood, died at Steadfolds Farm, 30/5/1903 aged 50.

Presume Hugh was the son of John and Eliza Wheatcroft of Sawn Moor Farm.
