About Thurcroft Web
Thurcroft Web is operated for and on behalf of the community.
The Web-site is designed to provide the following:
- To detail the history and provide information of general interest about the village - past and present.
- To act as a communications point on issues of interest and value to the community.
- To allow individuals and special interest groups to broadcast their activities.
- To enable local business/organizations to advertise their products and services.
Thurcroft Web, along with Wickersley, Whiston, Treeton and Ulley are run on a voluntary basis for the benefit of the community, business and ex-pats.
Due to the popularity of these local sites, and the fact that some items, especially those relating to history and genealogy were found to be duplicated because of their relevance to more than one local area. It seemed to be the best way forward to introduce Rotherham Web and further develop it.
